Grant Writing Workshops

Community members and organisations seeking to gain valuable tips for writing grant applications and applying for funding for small business and community projects were invited to attend several free ‘Grant Writing’ workshops across the Perth metropolitan region.

The Grant Writing Workshops included guest speakers from Perth Area Consultative Committee (Perth ACC); Office for Children and Youth; Local Government and Regional Development; Healthway; Office for Multicultural Interests; City of Cockburn and Office of Crime Prevention delivering valuable up-to-date information on their respective funding opportunities.

The workshops also provided valuable tips for writing quality funding applications, networking opportunities with business, community and government organisations. The eight workshops, presented by Perth ACC to date, in conjunction with Cities of Armadale; Wanneroo; Cockburn; Mandurah; the combined Shires of Kalamunda and Mundaring with the City of Swan, Belmont, Nedlands and Stirling attracted approximately 620 registrations, representing around 390 organisations. The sheer number of registrations provides evidence of the need for such community workshops in the widespread metropolitan region as well as the growing interest in communities, local government authorities and other organisations seeking government funding.
